AGING

strange how age
changes features
especially the face
how the nose grows
the ears too
how the eyes shrink
and wrinkle
how their glow dulls
and disappears
how the skin shrivels
no resemblance at all
to those old photographs
in all the expired passports
or those yellowed and faded
in numerous albums
when we eventually
get to heaven
how will our loved ones
ever recognize us?
